Itsaso in the Basque language means The Ocean.

The ocean is always moving and constantly materializing into an unknowable, mysterious Force. Not many can be part of it. They are The Bravest of The Prized.

In 2011 in the Basque country, I saw for the first time in my life The Ocean. Until now, I can not find words that can give voice to the feelings that appeared in my heart at that moment. I just fell in love with the Ocean and made a wish to stay always close to it. Every single moment is the materialization of the unpredictable and volatile Force. It is never the same. Not many can win through fear and become a part of it like Surfers. I can only stay on the side and admire it.

Photos were taken by Pentacon Six on 6x6 Ilford film and a large-format camera on 4x6' film, developed by myself.

The exhibition took place in my hometown Stettin, Poland, in the legendary Brama Jazz Cafe in 2011.
